PostVOGUE FEATURES Revlon's "Fire & Ice" ~ November 1952

Revlon introduced its new lipstick and nail color Fire and Ice in the fall of 1952, and ads featuring Dorian Leigh photographed by Richard Avedon were published in the November issues of many fashion magazines. The iconic ad went on to win Advertising Age's prestigious Magazine Advertisement of the Year award:

I just saw in our local CVS pharmacy, a recreation of the Fire and Ice ad with Jessica Biel as the firey lady. You can buy the original lipstick color in a retro tube. Same dress, same firey lips. I am thinking of trying it for New Year's Eve.
