PostSeventeen Magazine 2010 & 1960 ~ 50 Years Ago!

With the beginning of a new year and a new decade, I thought it would be fun and insightful to compare the January issues of the 1960 and 2010 Seventeen magazines. Have teens really changed that much in 50 years? You decide:

Front Covers:

Carol van Dyke

Miley Cyrus

Communication Technology Ads:

Bell Telephone System

Apple

Fragrance Ads:

Arpege

Britney Spears' Circus Fantasy

Feminine Hygiene Ads:

Kotex

Serena Williams for Tampax

On a more serious note, I found this interview with Senator John Kennedy very interesting. Although he had not yet made a formal announcement of his candidacy, in ten short months he would be elected President of the U.S.A. In October 1962, President Kennedy would confront Soviet premier Nikita Khrushcehev over the Cuban Missle Crisis.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
